AVivirLA had the opportunity to be part of a special screening for the movie The Last Witch Hunter coming out in theaters on Friday, October 23rd. I won’t spoil the movie, but it was great for all supernatural movie-goers.

Additionally, I received some pretty exciting swag from my friends over at Allied Hispanic! Thank you.

In the fantasy film Vin Diesel’s character deals with death. He’s been cursed with immortality by the Witch Queen, which means he isn’t able to reunite with his loved ones in the afterlife.

He has the job of coming between the covens of New York City and their goal to destroy humanity by way of a horrific plague. In order to accomplish this, he must partner up with a beautiful female witch – a ‘dream walker’ named Chloe – played by Rose Leslie.

Others that are part of the cast are Elijah Wood, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, Julie Engelbrecht, and Michael Caine. The movie was directed by Breck Eisner.

The modern world holds many secrets, but the most astounding secret of all is that witches still live amongst us; vicious supernatural creatures intent on unleashing the Black Death upon the world. Armies of witch hunters battled the unnatural enemy across the globe for centuries, including KAULDER, a valiant warrior who managed to slay the all-powerful QUEEN WITCH, decimating her followers in the process.

In the moments right before her death, the QUEEN curses KAULDER with her own immortality, forever separating him from his beloved wife and daughter in the afterlife. Today KAULDER is the only one of his kind remaining, and has spent centuries hunting down rogue witches, all the while yearning for his long-lost loved ones. However, unbeknownst to KAULDER, the QUEEN WITCH is resurrected and seeks revenge on her killer causing an epic battle that will determine the survival of the human race.
