It’s that beautiful time of the year where everywhere you go it’s decorated, smells and feels like the holidays are here. Yay! Not only that, but some places such as Corner Bakery have rolled out with their delicious fall flavors for all of us to enjoy.

Unfortunately, this year my gf (@fitwithcarmen) and I will not be spending Thanksgiving together so we couldn’t think of a better place than Corner Bakery to celebrate this special day in advance. Their holiday-inspired sandwiches and sweets are to die for. I love Corner Bakery and every opportunity I have to visit I will do so because their food is the highest quality. Their restaurants are also very cozy and welcoming making you feel at home and not a lot of restaurants have that vibe so thank you.

Last Saturday was dedicated to running errands and scratching off almost 100 items off our “To Do” list (Lol) and we were on the go all day. Literally, from one place to another. We wanted to visit a very casual restaurant to celebrate our very own Thanksgiving dinner so we did that at Corner Bakery in Lakewood, California.

I had previously done my research and I already knew the sandwich that I would be ordering – The Gobbler. This sandwich is inspired by Thanksgiving Day leftovers, piled high with holiday favorites including oven-roasted hand-carved turkey, buttery sage stuffing, fresh mixed greens and house-made cranberry mayo on whole grain harvest bread. YUMMY!

Their new crave-worthy breakfast, lunch and dinner items with a fall twist, started being available on September 29. For a limited time, guests will find a new Thanksgiving-inspired sandwich, new soup and salad offerings, and a seasonal twist to the restaurant’s popular buttermilk pancakes.

We also ordered the tomato-basil soup which is not holiday-inspired, but we both love tomato and basil so that was a no brainer. Guess what? No other place has a tomato and basil soup as delicious as they do at Corner Bakery.

Our visit to Corner Bakery was relaxing and memorable because we were able to have that alone time we hadn’t had in a while since we had been on the go all day and as a matter of fact all week. So it was perfect to sit down, relax and enjoy a spectacular meal.

The service was great too.

We shared our food, but we couldn’t help it with the sweets so we each got our own treats. I chose the pumpkin cookies filled with crème and my gf chose the Gingerbread Pumpkin Baby Bundt, which I later helped her finish. Lol

Visit Corner Bakery today for your holiday-inspired grub and sweets and share with me what you order…
